Latest Census statistics will be available soon
If you need current statistics to justify need or impact in your writing, the second data release is just a few days away.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is providing a free 2016 Census Data Seminar on 24 October. This follows the second release of Census data on 23 October 2017.
Presenters from the ABS will discuss a wide range of topics. This will include:
- Employment data such as occupations, employment industries, status in employment and hours of work
- Higher education qualifications
- Internal migration
- Journey to work – method of travel.
If you can’t make the seminar (it’s in Canberra), you can live stream the event from your computer.
This type of detail can be really important when explaining the need for programs and services in your region. Statistics are also useful to justify value when talking about your services in web content, Capability Statements and flyers.
