June 22, 2017 by in News

Government is looking for bold, new ideas that will make a difference to the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.

They’ve opened the Empowering Families Innovation Grants program as an opportunity for you to make those ideas a reality. The program will consist of 3 funding rounds run over 3 years starting in 2017.

Amounts

The grants consist of two pools:

POOL ONE:   up to $15,000 (ex GST) for local projects or idea development (maximum 6-month duration)

POOL TWO: up to $100,000 (ex GST) for implementation-ready projects (maximum 12-month duration)

Who can apply?

Anyone with an idea they think will make a difference to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children is encouraged to apply. However, to be eligible for funding applicants must be a Queensland-based legal entity and hold appropriate insurance. Individuals or groups who are not legal entities must establish a partnership with an auspicing organisation to manage the receipt of funds.
